Weird Glitch Temporarily Turned Cryptocurrency Owners Into Millionaires

If you own cryptocurrency similar bitcoin, there's a skillful run a risk yous've been watching the price of the crypto rising and fall. Depending on when you got into the game, you could be sitting on a small fortune, but it appears that due to a glitch on Coinbase and CoinMarketCap, it turned all cryptocurrency owners on the platforms into instant millionaires.

Basically, the glitch caused the displayed value of bitcoin to be worth $878 billion, and equally a result, many owners were suddenly seeing their accounts rise into the millions, billions, and in some cases, trillions of dollars. It non only affected bitcoin, merely information technology has as well affected other cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum and Ripple.

Unfortunately, this was plain too good to be true and many had reached out to the platforms to ask them well-nigh it. In a tweet by Coinbase, the company said, "We're enlightened some customers are seeing inflated values for non-tradable crypto assets on Coinbase.com and Coinbase Wallet. This is a display event only and does not touch on trading."

CoinMarketCap as well said that they are investigating what caused the pricing mistake and also denied that they might take been hacked. That being said, this seems to accept simply afflicted those two platforms and if you lot're trading bitcoin on other exchanges, you probably weren't afflicted.
